Kolmostar Successfully Debuted its Game Changing Ultra-Low Power JEDI-100 GNSS Module at IoT Tech Expo Global in London

(Fremont, CA, May 7, 2019) On April 25th and 26th, Kolmostar successfully completed our company and product debut at the IoT Tech Expo Global 2019 in London, one of the largest  IoT event series in the world. Over the course of two days, the IoT Tech Expo attracted over 300 exhibitors and 9500 attendees to London, to explore the latest technology innovations in IoT and their applications in industries such as Transportation, Logistics, Automotive, Manufacturing, Energy, Government & Smart Cities, etc. Kolmostar  had  productive communication and established connections with over 20 IoT ecosystem partners, companies and industry experts to further explore the possibilities of business partnerships and collaboration. Many attendees showed great enthusiasm towards Kolmostar’s ultra-low power GNSS solution, which can achieve up to 65x energy consumption reduction per position fix, when compared with traditional technology.

As more and more devices get connected to the network, Internet-of-Things (IoT) has become the biggest trend in technology innovations. With the capability to collect big data with high volume, variety and veracity from physical world via these connected devices, IoT technology is an enabler to feed todays’ Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications to benefit society as a whole. Among many innovative IoT technologies showcased at the Expo, Kolmostar’s ultra-low power GNSS positioning technology stood out as  one of the most noteworthy, providing the perfect solution to the power consumption constraint in LBS (Location Based Services)-enabled IoT end devices with form factor & battery capacity limits.

Kolmostar’s first generation ultra-low power product, the JEDI-100 GNSS module, is able to reduce power consumption by up to 5x compared to traditional GNSS modules while achieving same or even better position accuracy. JEDI-100’s reduced level of power consumption enables a whole range of new possibilities in location based services without the need of frequent recharges or a large battery. JEDI-100 is fully compatible with LPWAN technologies (LoRaWAN™, NBIoT, etc.) and is ready for production. Kolmostar is working with industry leaders and ecosystem partners to integrate our technology into various IoT devices and over 20 companies inquired about and have shown tremendous interest in integrating JEDI-100 module into their products and use cases at the show.
